"The Captain" Dazzy Dangerously

Dazzy Dangerously is a Welsh podcaster, president and co-founder of the Max Wrestling brand and Danger Zone Productions. He launched Max Wrestling as an e-magazine in 2013 with his cousin The Phoenix, before the duo transformed into the Max Wrestling Podcast in 2015, where Dazzy still serves as host, editor and producer of the show. Dazzy and his two co-hosts form "The Max Elite." He is also the leader of the faction, The Jury.

Dazzy also built and runs the Max Wrestling website, and has previously ran the Swerve Talk Network, Four Corner Network and Kliq Talk Network.
Danger Zone Productions applies to any show edited and produced by Dazzy. As well as Max Wrestling Podcast, these productions have included Throne Zone, Hidden Gems, Screen Gems, Hollywood Curses and currently includes Netpicks and Open Road.

Dazzy's moniker of "The Captain" derives from his leadership of both Max Wrestling and the Promo Order, and has been used for several promos where Dazzy has performed closer to his own personality, turned up - sometimes donning an American accent as a cocky heel character.
As part of the Promo Order, Dazzy portrays The Shape - a mysterious entity with almost supernatural abilities, donning a black fedora hat and brown sheepskin coat. The Shape is used mainly for promo exhibition (and originated this format) in which there is no winner or loser, but rather gives the opponent an opportunity to be creative and prove themselves.
Another character portrayed by Dazzy is The Jester. A soft-spoken, face-painted gimmick inspired by The Joker. The Jester has typically been used as a go-between during The Shape's downtime.

Dazzy has appeared on the most episodes of Max Wrestling Podcast, missing only one episode in its entire history. He is also the current (and was the inaugural) Max Wrestling World Champion in his second reign, and is a record-breaking twelve Predictions Champion.

Promo Career

Myers

The first gimmick Dazzy portrayed was a dark-eyed, bearded and hooded ritualist in 2016. Myers would often encourage people to "give in to the Madness", and was responsible for resurrecting The Demoness
following her first loss in 2019. Myers was effectively the blueprint on which The Shape was based, and has very rarely been seen since the debut of The Shape. However, during The Shape's 2021 hiatus, Myers made an appearance urging The Demoness to repay her debt.

The Shape & The Jester

In 2020, shortly after Mike Larkin lost the Promo Championship and found himself in limbo, The Shape made a surprise debut at Podcast Promo Rumble 5, challenging Larkin to a promo exhibition at PromoMania V. The Shape became an attraction for special events, taking part in promo exhibitions with the top names in the Promo Order including The Demoness, Travis Anderson
and Moses Marquez.

The Jester first appeared at Promo Series 5: Enemy Lines during The Shape's promo exhibition with Moses Marquez. The gimmick was introduced to rest The Shape until PromoMania VI. Inspired by The Joker, The Jester has often quoted the comic-book character in promos and has been used to issue challenges and provide updates on The Shape - insinuating both are different entities, though never denying that both are part of Dazzy's personality.

At PromoSlam 2020, The Shape challenged The Phoenix in advance to a match at PromoMania VI. As the months went on, The Phoenix became Promo Champion and Dazzy was awarded the World Championship by his peers, thus making the match for both Championships. Dazzy then upped the ante by making the match the first fully cinematic match in Max Wrestling dubbed "the sin-ematic showdown" which The Phoenix won by setting The Shape on fire.

The Shape was resurrected at PromoSlam 2021 when The Jester faced The Kingpin in a promo exhibition. In the following weeks, The Captain issued a challenge to retired Robert Davis to return for one last ride against The Shape at Promo Series 6: Justice Day - which Davis accepted. Several weeks later, The Captain addressed Davis again, before announcing he and his wife are expecting a baby in March 2022.

At Podcast Promo Rumble 7, The Shape and The Captain had their own inner struggle while engaging in a promo exhibition against Cypher. At the end of the promo, The Shape seemingly left The Captain to fight his own battles, claiming "you know what you have to do." Later that night, The Captain attacked The Phoenix from behind and confirmed he would challenge him for the World Championship at PromoMania VII. The Captain cut a follow-up promo the following week, explaining his motives and announcing the match would be a "Cinematic Sequel" - similar to the previous year. The Captain went on to defeat Phoenix following a brawl at The Phoenix's domain.

The following week, The Captain announced the formation of his own faction The Jury, consisting of himself, Chad Malcolm and Cypher - both of whom joined forces at PromoMania VII - Malcolm also joined forces with The Captain at the event as they both defeated The Phoenix.

Having been fired by Malcolm, Travis Anderson used his alter-ego Aleksandr Rowen to hack into
Max Wrestling on May 12th and called out The Captain and his Jury.
