Marquez was the first person to win the Max Wrestling Promo Championship twice and first person to win a Max Wrestling Triple Crown twice. Marquez is also a former King Of The Mic, PromoBowl
winner and record-setting 10-time Predictions Champion. He was also the inaugural Television Champion, which he acheived by winning the first Ring Of Games
His promo style has featured highly creative editing, trailer-themes and green screen.
Marquez first appeared on Max Wrestling Podcast in a crossover with his own show Smart Mark Radio. On the episode, he challenged Mike Larkin for the Knowledge Championship, which was also aired as part of the traditional Winner Stays On challenge at Promo Series 3: Lethal Games in 2018. He challenged Larkin the following year at the same event but was again unsuccessful. Finally on January 23, 2020 at Podcast Promo Rumble 5, Marquez defeated new champion The Phoenix and Travis Anderson in a triple threat match to win the Knowledge Championship.
At PromoMania V, Marquez successfully defended the title against The Phoenix in a one on one rematch. Marquez fell victim to the first annual "Champion's Chase" match at Trivia Takeover 5 in which he was outrun by The Phoenix and Anderson - who then faced each other to decide the new champion. It was not until a year later at the same event that Marquez gained redemption by turning the tables and outrunning new champion Mike Larkin, along with Chad Malcolm at Trivia Takeover 6: Mortal Conflict. Marquez then defeated Malcolm to win the vacant title.
After defeating Chad Malcolm in a number one contenders match on the PromoSlam 2021 Pre-Launch Show, The Phoenix went on to defeat Marquez for the Knowledge Championship at
Marquez renewed his rivalry with both men during Promo Series 6 week. He became the first ever Television Champion on the Pre-Launch Show after defeating Malcolm and Travis Anderson in the first Ring Of Games match. He then challenged The Phoenix for the Knowledge Championship the following day, which Phoenix won. Phoenix also defeated Marquez for the Television Championship at The Maxies Awards 2021.
Marquez first competed in promo competition in the 2019 King Of The Mic tournament, where he infamously lost to Travis Anderson with 9% of the public vote. He then returned for Promo Climax 2 later that year, where he suffered only one defeat which prevented him from winning his block.
At Podcast Promo Rumble 5, then-Promo Champion Travis Anderson selected Marquez as his challenger, and successfully defended the title. In the first Promo League in 2020, Marquez challenged and defeated The Kingpin to claim the number one contender spot going into Trivia Takeover 5: Champion's Chase, but was unable to defeat champion The Demoness.
Marquez found redemption by winning the 2020 King Of The Mic tournament, defeating Ronald Hill and Crooked Smile, then Tedd P Dinero in the final. As a result, Marquez found himself challenging The Demoness for the Promo Championship again at PromoSlam 2020, but was again unsuccessful.
By not winning the Promo Championship, reigning King Of The Mic, Marquez was granted two spots in the first annual PromoBowl where he became one of the three winners along with Aleksandr Rowen (later revealed as Travis Anderson) and Chris Durham. The three winners went on to challenge The Demoness in a fatal-4-way at Promo Series 5: Enemy Lines, where Marquez finally became Promo Champion - much to the dismay of certain members of the Promo Order that were backing The Demoness.
Marquez then began a rivalry with The Phoenix, retaining the title via draw at the Maxies Awards 2020, before losing the title to The Phoenix in a rematch at Podcast Promo Rumble 6. They completed their trilogy at Trivia Takeover 6: Mortal Conflict when Marquez defeated The Phoenix to regain the Promo Championship and become the first ever 2-time Promo Champion.
After losing the Promo Championship to Travis Anderson at PromoSlam 2021, Marquez issued a challenge to World Champion Chad Malcolm for Promo Series 6: Justice Day. He also entered the second annual PromoBowl, picking up a victory in the first round against Chris Durham.
