PromoSlam was the eighth Max Wrestling Podcast special, and first under the PromoSlam
chronology, it was also the 75th episode of Max Wrestling Podcast. The event took place on August 21, 2016. It was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously, and featured regulars The B******, Evan "Money" Makeba and The Phoenix. Special guests included Jonny Ferrari and Kinny Killa.

The Knowledge Championship was cut short and declared a no contest after a controversial appearance by Jonny Ferrari and Kinny Killa exiting the show. This was also the final appearance of Evan Makeba as a regular part of the team. An emotional tribute video opened the event.
