Trivia Takeover 5.0: Champion's Chase was the twenty-seventh Max Wrestling Podcast special, and fifth under the Trivia Takeover chronology, it was also the 274th episode of Max Wrestling Podcast. The event was hosted by "The Captain" Dazzy Dangerously and featured new regulars Travis "The Walker" Anderson, Moses Marquez and the return of Mike Larkin plus special guests including The Phoenix and The Demoness, with special appearances from Rob Chef and Zack Herring.
This was the beginning of "The Shift" - an occurrence in which the show almost came to an end due to Dazzy retiring after personal issues with a former colleague. When the rest of the Promo Order banded together to demand the removal of the former colleague and Dazzy reconsidering retirement, the show continued with this event being the first of a new era as Travis and Moses were sworn in as new regulars of the team. The event highlighted the abrupt end of the Promo League season, with the outline for the new Promo Order explained. The Demoness defended her Promo Championship against Moses Marquez and a special exhibition saw Zack Herring battle Rob Chef. Plus a new form of trivia for the Knowledge Championship - the "Champion's Chase". The four Time-Builder rounds and Face The Champ rounds took place on the Pre-Launch show. Trivia Takeover is the only Max Wrestling special not to take place on the weekend of a big pay-per-view, however predictions were given for Backlash. The episode aired on June 11th, 2020 on Facebook, YouTube, Soundcloud, Spotify, Google Play, Apple Podcasts and iHeart Radio.
